The combined records of the SEC's non-conference opponents was 47-80 (.370). The Pac-10's was 59-68 (.465). Pac-10 has gone 13-2 (.867) while the SEC has gone 14-3 (.824).

So the Pac-10 has played a much tougher schedule and has a higher win percentage and a 1-0 advantage Head to Head.

You want depth? How about Cal, Oregon, USC, and Arizona State all being in the top 15. The SEC has just LSU, Florida, and South Carolina. Stanford beat USC, Washington State almost beat Arizona State. Arizona almost beats USC, Oregon State beats Cal, UCLA beats Cal, Washington hangs with Oregon, Washington hangs with USC, Wahington hangs with Ohio State I don't see SEC teams beating each other up like evry one says they are doing.
