North Carolina baseball team (two-time national runner-up) will cap its fall season with it's annual intra-squad fall world series. The world series is set to open on October 9th. This year it is being played at the USA Baseball National Training complex at Cary's Thomas Brooks Park because of Boshamer Stadium is being renovated. The team began practice on September 3rd and will play a number if scrimmages before it's World Series.
North Carolina is loaded as it returns seven position starters from last years team. They also have return a couple of key pitchers from last years team. The Tar Heels also had a very strong recruiting class coming in.
For people in the area, admission is free to all the Fall world series games.
