It doesn't get any better than having your home opener on Monday Night Football against a division rival. After a tough loss last week against a strong defensive showing by the Packers, the Eagles head home under the lights of MNF.

The heartbreak of week 1 definitely got the Eagles attention and I look for them to rebound huge this week. They are playing a Redskins team that can run the ball with the two headed monster of Portis and Betts. The play of the linebackers will be huge this week, as I look for the defense to go after the young Skins QB and force the Redskins to rely on the running game. After an impressive defensive showing in week one look for the defense to keep the run to under 150 yds with 2 TDs, and shut down the passing game.

The Eagles offense struggled last week and just couldn't seem to settle into a groove. It was nice to see Curtis with a few attempts down field but no impact from Brown and L.J. Smith can make for a long day on offense. I look for Reggie Brown to have a big day this week as he doesn't have lock down man Charles Woodson this week and should rebound nicely. Look for 6 rec. for 95 yds and 1 TD. L.J. will also have a slightly bigger impact this week, after shaking off some of that off season rust. He should see a few more balls thrown his way, but I say he drops a couple but pulls in 4 rec for 50 yards with a couple big 3rd down conversions. Just like last week Westbrook will be the focus to the running game and should get some good receiving yards as always. He will rush for 1 td and catch another one while lined up out wide for some big yards.

Hopefully the return of Reno Mahe will bring the confidence back to the special teams game and will allow the Eagles to keep the momentum when they get it. The Lewis muffed punt was a killer, although what do you expect from a guy that has NEVER returned punts before, and obviously JR Reed's brain fart was the back breaker. Mahe won't be spectacular this week but also will not kill the Eagles.

If the Eagles had won last week I would say this divisional game would be within 6 points, but the Eagles are mad and embarassed and will take it out on the Skins
