Free-agent DE Leonard Little will visit the Saints on Wednesday and Thursday, according to a league source.
Little played 12 seasons with the Rams and won a Super Bowl with the team during the 1999 season. Some believed Little would retire after the 2009 season, but he recently expressed a desire to keep playing.
The Saints have a need at defensive end after they released veteran Charles Grant last week. They also will visit with former Chargers DT Jamal Williams and ex-Rams DE James Hall this week, according to a league source

This doesn't make much sense to me. All of the players have 11 plus years under them. Which is good if you're trying to build a team or for solid backups for starters. The only player in this bunch is James Hall; there hasn't been much dropoff in his game and has actually been better or up to par with previous seasons the last 2 or 3 years. Is he a pass rusher though? Thats what the New Orleans Saints are really missing. A guy that can get in the backfield and wreak havoc. Get the ball out of the Qb's hands faster. So that Porter and the secondary can ballhawk. Thats what Greg Williams wants. Thats what Greg's defenses do. Have to get pressure. Other than a DE the LB position needs the same type of player. Coverage not as important as Pass rush. You can scheme around someones coverage skills. When it comes to pass rushing you either have it or you don't. The Saints need to fill the left side spots with a pass rushing DE and LB. Spots left open since the release of Charles Grant and the free agent signing of Scott Fujita to the Cleveland Browns.
