What frustrates me about the pace of the game is pitching changes. A manger walks from the dugout to the pitching, and then makes a call to the bullpen. The pitcher walks in from bullpen to the mound. Once at the mound, the throws a few practice pitches to the catcher; which was same thing he was doing just before he left the bullpen. He throws a few pitches to batter who either gets out or gets a base hit, then manager starts the same process all over again. The fans just sat through one pitching change and now going through another about five minutes later. So here is my rule change:
Once a pitcher is called in from the bullpen he must face a minimum of three batters before leaving the game; or until the end of the game, whichever comes first.
1. This will eliminate fans sitting through two pitching changes back to back.
2. It will require managers to think about the next three batters before making a call to bullpen. This makes the managers use more strategy when call in a pitcher from the bullpen.
3. It will speed up some games.
