What a week for Boston College. In what was being billed as the battle of the top 2 teams in the ACC, Boston College made a clear statement of who was the better team. With a 3-0 conference record, Boston College leads the ACC. And in second place with a 2-0 ACC record...Virginia! Surprised? I am. Chalk it up to ACC matchups involving Duke and North Carolina. This weekend provides a better test when they match up with a Georgia Tech team. And let's not forget the Blue Devils. Duke ended a 22 game losing streak with a win over Northwestern...the team that holds the record for the longest losing streak in college history with 34 games.
After going 7 of 10 with last weekends picks (bringing my overall season record to 23 of 30), let's take a look at this week's picks...
TAMU @ Miami = Texas A & M. After struggling to Florida International last week, and being stomped by Oklahoma the previous week, it's clear that Randy Shannon has a ways to go to bring Miami back.
Clemson @ NC State = Clemson
GT @ Virginia = Georgia Tech
North Carolina @ USF = USF. After an off-week last week, South Florida is back on the field after the upset win over Auburn. Watch out Tarheels!
Army @ BC = Boston College
Duke @ Navy = Navy. Though their record is only 1 & 2, Navy only lost their last game by 3 points, and the other loss was to a powerful Rutgers team...and they held their offense to only 41 points.
William & Mary @ VT = VT
Maryland @ WF = Maryland. In what is probably the best of the ACC matchups this week, Maryland looks for revenge over last year's 38-24 WF victory.

Night Game at the OB, big name school, and something yet prove: Miami pulls a 21-17 victory over the Aggies; but to do this, the defense must create turnovers (10 points will come from turnovers).

Hahaha...well my predictions this week aren't off to the best of starts. Miami was back for one game at least.

Good and bad years--the Nole fans are decent. As a Clemson fan-was treated well in Tallahassee and this year when CU was ripping FSU in the first half -the fan next to me ( a NOLE) was not ugly. Gotta give you kudos. Doubt Clemson is so nice.

Looks like the Grohzer and the 'hoos fooled you once again...huh? Best not to put too much stock in a Pitt victory next week either. Some years those fluke lightning strikes occur kinda regularly around Scott Stadium. Maybe even more than around Doak Campbell... Redbaron719
