Weekly observations of the week in football (scores) enjoy!
San Francisco 17 St. Louis 16
Anyone picking the 49ers to make the postseason this year? I mean this team is actually not that bad. Could they be in the playoffs? Sure. Should they be there?? with the way they're playing there's no reason in the world to rule them out.
Indianapolis 22 Tennessee 20
This game was definitely a shootout and I'm fairly certain that there will be more games like that in this rivalry. Both QB's were excellent as always and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up meeting in the postseason.
Houston 34 Carolina 21
This should be the Game of the Week type material. The Houston Texans, who had basically been the NFL's doormat during the David Carr Era have all the sudden shown signs of life in the Matt Schaub Era. I got one question: Playoffs anyone?
Pittsburgh 26 Buffalo 3
I watched this game and let me tell you the Bills are just so God awful that I would be surprised if they even won six games this year at the rate that they're going. What is it now? Eight quarters without a touchdown? Count on this season being a long one for the Bills.
Browns 51 Bengals 45
This was another shootout by two teams that have been historically bad but even when its a shootout its still fun to watch. Game 1 in the post Charlie Frye Era was a good one for the Browns but it had a different result.
Tampa Bay 31 New Orleans 14
Looks like all of the wind just went out of the Saints sails. The way they played it was like they had nothing left in them. At the rate that they're going I wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs this year.
Jacksonville 13 Atlanta 7
Chalk up another loss for the Falcons this year as they just looked terrible from the start. Not only will they miss the playoffs this year but don't be surprised if Brian Brohm from Louisville is their first round pick and QB of the future.
Packers 35 Giants 13
Brett Favre and the Pack actually look good this year and I think that they'll be postseason contenders this year. The Giants? Well they'll be looking for a new coach this offseason count on it.
Arizona 23 Seattle 20
This seems to be the week of the shootout or the blowout. Matt Leinart is beginning to look more and more like a franchise QB with wins like this one. The NFC West is the NFL's weakest divison so I wouldn't be surprised if these two were fighting for the final playoff spots come season's end
