The Packers are 2-0. That is awesome. It is the first time they started 2-0 since 2001, that isn't so awesome. They are still 2-0. Another thing that is awesome is the Brett Favre is now the most winningest player in NFL history. Now to the blog. This is only Week 2 so I will explain this a little more. First I have the score with the quarter, then the scoring play, and then after that is the plays that led up to the score. Now here is the scoring summary of the game.
1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Packers 0 7 7 21 35
Giants 0 10 3 0 13
GB 7, NYG 0 First Quarter
GB: DeShawn Wynn scores on a 6 yard run. A 46-yard pass to rookie James Jones and a 21-yard gain on a screen pass to newly acquired Ryan Grant gave the Packers first-and-goal. Wynn scored on a draw play out of the shotgun.
GB 7, NYG 7
NYG: Plaxico Burress caught a 26 yard pass from Eli Manning. A 40-yard pass to Amani Toomer set-up the TD throw to Burress.
GB 7, NYG 10
NYG: Lawrence Tynes hits a 48 yard field goal. A 19-yard pass to tight end Jeremy Shockey moved the Giants across midfield. A deep pass for Shockey with Nick Collins on the coverage was incomplete, which forced them to kick the field goal.
GB 14, NYG 10 Third Quarter
GB: Bubba Franks catches a 2 yard pass from Brett Favre. Two 10-yard passes to rookie fullback Korey Hall got the drive going, then a 17-yard pass to James Jones gave the Packers a first-and-goal. A pass interference on the Giants made it first-and-goal again, on the 2 yard line. Then Favre threw the TD pass to Franks.
GB 14, NYG 13
NYG: Lawrence Tynes hits another field goal, but this one from 32 yards out. A 26-yard run by Derrick Ward and an 11-yard pass to Ahmad Bradshaw got the Giants into scoring range. A third-down pass interference penalty on Al Harris gave the Giants a first-down in the red zone, but an unsportsmanlike conduck penalty on Amani Toomer pushed New York back to the 23 on third-and-goal.
GB 21, NYG 13 Fourth Quarter
GB: Donald Lee caught a 3-yard pass from Favre. Farve threw nine times on nine attempts. He threw completions to Brandon Jackson for 15 yards, Donald Lee for 14 yards, and Driver for 19 yards to make it goal-to-go.
GB 28, NYG 13
GB: Donald Driver catches a 10-yard pass from Favre. Charlie Peprah forced a fumble on the kickoff that Tracy White recovered (again, lol), giving the Packers a first-down at the Giants' 22. Passes of 7 yards to Bubba Franks and 5 yards to Donald Driver set-up the TD pass.
GB 35, NYG 13
GB: DeShawn Wynn scores on a 38 yard run. A 6-yard pass to Donald Driver picked up a first down, and then rookie Wynn broke into the open field for the TD.
Again, if you have any comments on the game or whatever, just comment. If you have any suggestions, you can say them too.
