ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Broncos on Sunday acquired quarterback Brady Quinn from the Cleveland Browns.

The team agreed to trade fullback Peyton Hillis, a 2011 6th-round draft selection and a conditional 2012 draft selection to Cleveland in exchange for the signal caller, pending physicals.

Entering his fourth season in the league, Quinn was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft after breaking 36 school records at Notre Dame, including career pass atempts, completions, yards, yards per game, touchdown passes and lowest interception percentage. In the process, he won 29 games as a starter -- tied for most in school history.

In the NFL, Quinn has compiled 1,902 yards passing yards, 11 total touchdowns and nine interceptions in 14 games played. He has started 12 games in his career, including nine last season.

In 2009, he started the first three games of the season for the Browns, then started from Week 10 to Week 15 before being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury on Dec. 22. From game 9 to game 14, he had a streak of 150 straight pass attempts without an interception.

He has faced the Broncos in each of the past two seasons, throwing for 400 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the two contests. Now a member of the Broncos, he joins Kyle Orton, Chris Simms and Tom Brandstater as the fourth quarterback on the roster.

Hillis, who is headed to Cleveland pending a physical, averaged 5.0 yards per carry and tied for the Broncos' team lead with six touchdowns in 12 games -- including 6 starts -- as a rookie in 2008. Last season, he played in 14 games, starting two at fullback. He rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown, tacking on 19 yards receiving and seven special-teams stops.
