August 10th- The Red Sox put up 5 runs in the top of the 8th after Erik Bedard shuts them down for 7+. Up 5-1, Francona puts Eric Gagne in.

 3 hits and 1 walk later the game is tied. The Sox end up losing in the bottom of the 9th.

August 12th- I was at this game. The Sox are up 3-1 with a runner on first and Miguel Tejada at the plate. Gagne enters the stadium to a chorus of boos as the Sox fans reminisce about the lost win from a few nights earlier. After replacing Okajima, Gagne immediately gives up a 2 run blast to even the game.

The Sox lose 6-3 in extra innings. 

August 17th- After using Papelbon in the day game of a day-night doubleheader, Gagne comes out to close things in the 9th with a 1 run lead. Gagne gives up two walks, a single, and a double, and then lucks out with a hard liner to first that ends the inning.

 The Sox lose 7-5.

September 18th- In the bottom of the 8th with a one run lead over Toronto, Gagne gets 2 quick first outs. He allows a single and 2 quick hits to load the bases. He then walks Gregg Zaun to bring in a run, and then a double to bring in 2 more. A strong throw to the plate manages to get Gagne out of the inning, but the damage is done. The Sox tack on another run in the 9th and lose 4-3. 

This may be the single worst acquisition in sports this year. Gagne's responsible for 4 Sox losses currently, as the Sox sit a mere 2 1/2 up.  He's caused a lot of unnecessary stress in Boston, and is a cancer to the team.

GET RID OF HIM ANY WAY YOU CAN! I DON'T CARE IF THE ENTIRE FARM SYSTEM AND THE DEED TO FENWAY PARK IS TRADED AWAY! GET RID OF ERIC GAGNE NOW, NOW, NOW!!!!! LOCK HIM IN THE BULLPEN, OR SHIP HIM OFF TO THE YANKEES! GET HIM OUT OF BOSTON!
