After last nights games ( Phillies win, Mets lose and Padres win) the Phillies according to Baseball Prospectus have a 48% chance of making the playoffs.
Another good win for the Phillies, the down side for me was Cole Hamels performance. I wasn't expecting anything good but this was worse than I thought. I hated to see the already overused bullpen having to log so many innings.
As I have said a lot I can't explain it but there is something about this team. I have believed and have written here and elsewhere that I thought the Phillies would not only make the playoffs but win the division. I still 100% believe that.
The one strange thing is that the Phillies are the same amount of games behind in the Wild Card and for first place in the East. I think they have a better chance in over taking the Mets than the Padres. I love the Padres pitching. We'll see.
