I've (and a lot of others probably) have been thinking that this would be a great fit for a long time. Unfortunately college football is all about money and ego's. Notre Dame gets big time money from NBC and they also have their ego of being independant. While the Big Ten asked them to join back in 1999 and was denied so they probably have to big of an ego to invited them again. It would be a perfect fit for the reasons mentioned in the article but also because with a 12th team the Big Ten could also then have a conf. championship game. GET IT DONE ALREADY!!
