I was just thinking, all the Jets fans out there keep saying they need an outside edge rusher, and depth at the D line. I agree that Sean Ellis and Marquis Douglas are getting old. Maybe the solution is to remember that Vernon Gholston is still on the team. If they can bulk him up from 265 another 20 pounds to 285, maybe he can just go back to his comfortable position of DE. The guys is so strong that he could probably be a little lighter and still manhandle guys as as pass rushing D end if he just bulked up a little more. I think all hope is not lost. In the event that it is lost, I say look to draft guys in this order. Jared Odrick Kyle Wilson or Devin Mccourty (I'd be especially happy with Mccourty since he's a Rutgers guy). This would accomplish 2 things. It would give the Jets a 3 CB that is tops in the NFL, and a strength in pass coverage when they play the Colts/Saints/etc. It would also allow Dwight Lowery to move to Free Safety where he is best suited to play. If Odrick, Mccouryty, Wilson (big stretch) are not available I would say pick up Golden Tate. Tate could stretch the field, catch screens, or slants over the middle, and return kicks and punts. He's another young weapon to give Sanchez, and helps replace Leon Washington's explosiveness on the field. If none of those guys are available, trade down for a 1st rounder next year and another draft pick this year. In no specific order they should then draft DE, WR, OT, OG, OLB, SS
