Rice band takes its shots: Rice's Marching Owl Band, also known as the M.O.B., lived up to its Saturday Night Live-skit reputation, taking shots at Texas and Texas A&M in its halftime show.
The M.O.B. opened with three members dressed as three UT players who have had brushes with the law the last four months - Henry Melton, Sergio Kindle and James Henry. The band members were chased by three cardboard police cars.
While they were being rounded up, the M.O.B. public address announcer said, "The Longhorns' demeanors and misdemeanors have changed. So be sure to get a program to look up all of Texas' All-Americans and America's most wanted."
The M.O.B. then spoofed A&M's 12-7 victory over Texas last season, by forming the No. 7 and saying former A&M president and current secretary of defense Robert Gates must have been involved in the Aggies' ability to hold Texas to seven points.
