Sunday was a heartbreaking day for the Cards family.  I really expected my boys to bring home the victory.  The odds were stacked against us from the start!  The critics all thought that the Ravens defense would prove too much for the Cards unpredictable offense, not to mention the Card's defensive ability to  hold the Ravens was VERY doubted.  Well, I felt otherwise, without doubt the Cards offense is more skilled than the Ravens and the defense has been off to a great start...the acquision of Terrence Holt was a boost!  This game unfortuantly came down to the defensive front...and in the end the Cards defense just couldn't get the job done. 

Offense:

Can we PLEASE give Anquan Boldin his MUCH do credit!!!!  181 yrds. and 2 TD's....he and Kurt Warner pioneered a comeback which mimiced the Bears HORRIFIC comeback against the Cards last season.  I must say Matt Leinart needs to do BETTER!  I don't know if his focus is off...sometimes I feel as though he wants to be a celebrity and not a player!  I have said this and I stick to it...I love my Cards but they dropped the ball in the 2006 draft...Jay Culter was the better fit.  Scottsdale is a mini hollywood....LEINART has too many distractions!  He sold tons of tickets for my boys...yes he has flair but this isn't the NCAA and this isn't USC...Leinart needs to STEP it up and adjust to the new style of play.  Also, let us give praise to EJ for finally showing up this season...he is off to an admirable start.  Now, if only we could get my beloved Larry to show up...we would have somethin GOING!  I still don't know what happened with his fumble in the 3rd quater (might have been the second not sure)...it was a NIGHTMARE!  Where the heck did Corey Ivy come from..I underestimated and missed this kid, he was on FIRE!!!!

Defense 

If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all!!  No, they did ok, but seriously....that last minute field goal was garabage...I think its fair to say that Adrian Wilson played a large part in this loss.  A 15 yard penalty by a seasoned Vet is INEXUSABLE!  However, I give the defense points on stepping their game up this season!

Coaching

Leinart should have come out and stayed out sooner....but good look on taking him out!

Overall

I'm still heartbroken, I'll get over it in due time!  This is going to be a good year for the Cards, well a decent year!  However, NEXT year is our year...one more year at the draft and our defense will be good...let us pray Leinart gets it together so we don't have to acquire a QB, and waste a year of development.  WHY COULDN'T WE GET LEFTWICH DAMNIT!!!!  LOL
