IMO, WVU or Pitt would be a good fit both geographically and athletically. Notre Dame would also be a logical choice because they play Mich, MSU and Purdue already but no way ND give up the non-conference play (USC, BC) or the big NBC money.
There truely is no team that can be removed if the Big Ten was to be named correctly. Penn State has the shortest tenure but is too strong of a school to "kick out".
