The NFC could go in so many different directions that I would not be surprised if the Packers ended up 7-9, just as much as I would not be shocked if the Saints end up 10-6. Although, in regards to the Saints, they will miss Deuce, but I am interested to see how (or if) Reggie Bush's role changes.
I personally think Lovie made the QB change at the perfect time. He couldn't do it last season in the middle of a Super Bowl run, no matter how poorly he performed, but they're off to a bad start and need a jump start before 1-2 turns into 2-6. However, I don't have much faith in Brian Griese either.
I am still amazed how quickly the Bills' season spiraled out of control. At the same time, I did not expect them to win any of these first three games and thought they would take a step back ??? record wise ??? compared to last year because of the schedule, but individually, specifically J.P., I figured they would make strides.
What happened with Carmona is in the past and if Eric Wedge feels like he could get a big out somewhere in the postseason and he has no better option, then he'll go for it. You do whatever you have to do to get outs.
It's a shame a guy like Milton Bradley is known more for his temper than his ability to play, but he brings it on himself. Although, he had been much better and he can't be taken completely off the hook for what happened Sunday, but it does seem like the umpires have some blame in that bizarre situation.
Get ready for another NFC East battle this week ??? Eagles at Giants. Personally, you know my thoughts on how much the Giants get on national television. I don't see how they are THIS big of an attraction. They have had some drama attached to them with Tiki, Strahan, Coughlin, etc., but is the Raiders' fan sitting at home saying, "Oh wow, Eagles-Giants on Sunday night? I've gotta see that!!"
Like everything else, the conferences go in cycles and this is a big down time for the Big 10 as the Big East continues to improve. A couple of years ago, a lot of people wondered if the Big East should have its automatic BCS bid taken away.
They could use Carrott Top as the face of MLB playoff advertisements, I would still be PUMPED for the postseason.
