Alright my apoligies to all for not getting a blog in before the Cheslea match but do to work and family issue I did not have the time but lets take a look at it now.

I have to say that Man U pretty much controlled the game even though most Cheslea fans will say that we only got the win due to the Ref.  I do have to admit the Ref was Crap!!  In the first have J.Cole should have been carded for taking Evra down from behind in the box and we should have gotten that PK.  The Red card he gave was not a Red but should have just been a Yellow.  I can see the PK on Saha though (I know lots don't agree with this) but playing striker myself I know that defenders will do anything to try and take your mind off of the ball and he just flat out PIMP SLAPPED Saha across the face and I don't care who you are that crap would hurt and cause you to lose the ball which in turn was a PK.  J. Cole should have been given a straight RED for that tackle on C.Ronaldo due to him knowing that he was not going to touch the ball and swinging at his ankles anyway also from behind (didn't FIFA put into effect strict rules on tackling from behind????).  Anyway I hate when the refs end up making the game about them and their blown calls instead of the futbol that was played on the pitch.  All in all it was a good game for Man U the team on Rooney and Tevez looks like it could cause big problems for teams this year.

I am not going to go into the Carlington Cup match in detail cause lets face it SAF used it as a tryout and was not concerned fully about winning.

So that brings us up to Birmingham this weekend.  I think it will be a good match on both sides of the ball with Man U's Defense coming up for us once again.  Edwin will get another clean sheet.  I am happy Tevez got his first goal and I think as his history with West Ham showed once he starts scoring it is hard to stop him.  Even better news than that is the news of Rooney.  It makes me happy that Rooney was so gun hoe and wanted to play the Carlington cup game so bad and wanted to do everything from taking PKs to Corners ect.  That is the disire and hunger that sets him apart from others and it is good to see that up and running again.  SAF made the right move on not letting him that way he is fresh come this weekend.  Well let me know what your predictions are for the game I think it will be Man U 4-0 I know I am going on a limb here saying that we will score that many seeing how we have not put more than 2 in the net in a game yet but I think we are do we have to many weapons to stop and once they are on target the scoring sprees will start and I think they start this weekend.

Hum I thought that was a good overall game Sporting gave them some troubles for sure but it was nice to see Ronaldo score the only goal of the match seeing how he is the one that almost single handly beat us the last time these two teams played. I thought the fans their were top notch and real assests to the game even giving CR a standing ovation and great cheers when he was subbed. I will have more to say about their up coming game to Roma after the game this weekend. Thanks for the comments though

With all due respect to the Gaffer, that lineup against Coventry was a joke. When John O'Shea is your best player on the pitch, you know you're going to have problems. Coventry may be a Championship team, but they at least have experience playing together as a squad. Arrgh, just frustrating.
Although I am happy about the sinking ship in London known as Chelsea.

After last night's embarassing League Cup defeat by Coventry, I'm really worried that we're lacking the strength in depth that Arsenal have. They've gone through the same kind of rebuilding process we have but seem to have also been bringing in young players over the years. It's a policy that saw them go through to the final of the League Cup last year with their reserve team. We seem to have brought on young players like Rossi and Pique, only to end up selling them. I'm worried what happens later in the season when we have some injuries and no ready made replacements.

why cant we do anything in the carling cup. last year i think it was preston north end. now coventry? we are the greatest team on the planet. our reserves should not lose to coventry. NO QUADRUPLE. Dammit. and if we dont do anything in the other competitions, we will be dumped out of the top 8 in the CL group picking and will be considered the "second" best team in our group if we get in.

You all have to realize that about 1/2 of the players that played in the carling cup game don't even make the first team bench. Nani was our only real first team player on the pitch, Anderson has made the bench only a few times, OShea is still coming back from injury, Brown was first team bench, and Fletcher were the only players out there that even make the bench for the first team. SAF uses the carling cup to test his reserve squad and some up and comers. He knows that these Champion League teams are coming full speed and gunning to take united down because most of them this is their only chance at silverware all year. If united would have played fletcher from the begining and added either rooney or c. ronaldo to the squad we would have won. If it was uniteds first team playing with only 2-3 players coming from the reserves (like chelsea did) we would have blown them out 4 or 5 to 0 also. Wait and see how our real team plays this weekend before we chalk this one up to a huge lose

It's not 4-0, but I'll take yet another 1-0 victory. A win is a win and goals only matter if someone is equal to us...not a chance. As for the QUAD...if you count the Community Shield, we could still win 4 trophies this year.
