The Kansas City Chiefs traded away Dante Hall, one of the best return men in the history of the NFL, for a fourth-round draft pick in this weekend's draft.
Are you kidding me?
The X-factor of all X-factors has produced for the Chiefs as well as any of thier marquee players and he gets shipped away for a draft pick. Where's the love, respect and obligation to one of the players who have helped win games?
I was a sports writer in Kansas City for four years and covered the Chiefs home games and got to see firsthand how electrifying this player is. In the 2003 season, Hall returned two punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns - one of each against Denver at Arrowhead. I mean, I don't think you can replace someone of this magnitude with pure hope.
Dante Hall was a embedded in the Kansas City area as one of the good guys. He always spoke to the media and always gave back to the community. Carl Peterson should have been more quick to pull the trigger on getting rid of Trent Green, yet, instead, he just gave away a prized possession in Dante Hall.
Smooth move, Peterson!
