Well, even though there are 153 games left, we can already see the changes in Beantown. Some are good, and some are bad. Here's a quick recap of what's what:
1.) Stats-wise: the leader in hits, home runs, RBI's, total bases, extra-base hits, and average (and has played in at least 6 games) - 2008 AL MVP (and beloved short man) Dustin Pedroia.
2.) Strikeout king, old guy, and new aquisition Mike Cameron may have kidney stones - I'm just SO glad that we have Jeremy Hermida.
3.) $108 million man Daisuke Matsuzaka is injured - again. And now, reports are surfacing that Dice-K will be a reliever. May someone please remind me: how great is he supposed to be?
4.) The Sox don't lead the league in anything - yet.
5.) As expected, there is a lot of competition in the AL East this year. So don't expect Boston to end the season in 4th place.
Let's hope the Sox pull through this season.
