All-NBA First Team
C: Dwight Howard
Once again you???ve got to give it to DH. He???s a monster in the middle, who helped his team grab the second seed in the East, and hopes to lead the Magic to another Finals showdown. Most likely the DOY once again, and leading in categories like rebounds and blocks, another all-star appearance, DH is going to be #1 at the center position for quite some time.
PF: Dirk Nowitzki
Dirk had a MVP candidate season leading the Mavs to a second seed in the West. The big German is putting up some impressive numbers and along with the help of Terry, Kidd, and new additions Marion, Haywood, and Butler has the Mavs thinking title contention. This spot could have easily gone to Amare but I had to go with Dirk because his continued dominance all season long as well as his team???s success.
SF: LeBron James
LeBron James has once again grabbed the MVP award, the second of well over a half dozen I???m sure. The Chosen One has everything but a ring, time to snag one, and with the current roster and offseason of whatever may happen. With Shaq, Mo, Jamison, and West time is of the essence in terms of age, and their time is now.
SG: Kobe Bryant
Kobe is getting older, but he can still ball unlike anyone else in the League, he scores 25+ points on a Lakers roster that is stacked with talent, they are the favorites to win the title once more, regardless of what anyone else says about the Lakers, they are the favorites, and I am not a fan.
PG: Deron Williams
Deron has led the Jazz to a fifth seed this season, when just a season ago they hardly grabbed an eighth seed in the final weeks of the regular season. For the first time in his career he became an all-star, and with his performance at the All-Star game it should be the first of many.
All-NBA Second Team
C: Andrew Bogut
Andrew Bogut along with the help of Jennings and Salmons have lead a Bucks team that was projected to be a lottery team once again this season. He???s played his best ball of his NBA career this year, and was looking to lead the Bucks to a title shot, until a broken arm cut his stellar season short, and left his team without their big man for the postseason. Up until then he played incredible ball.
PF: Amare Stoudemire
Amare has had a turnaround season. Since a trading deadline that had him without a doubt moving out of the desert to sunny Miami or New York, or even the Nets. This however that didn???t happen, and the Suns have benefited greatly from this. Since the trading deadline he averaged superior numbers in almost all of the respective statistic categories, he deserved this spot without no doubt.
SF: Carmelo Anthony
Despite what anyone says this guy has had an incredible season, he???s playing the best basketball he has in his career. He???s lead the Nuggets to a fourth seed, and hopes to lead the Denver a little farther than last year. All in all he???s always going to be second best when it comes to this position, that is as long as LeBron is healthy.
SG: Dwayne Wade
Wade is a great player who needs to get out of Miami, or needs to get someone in Miami who can give him a little assistance and once that happens Miami could be a contender. Wade has once again been brilliant, but that???s because he needs to score 40 a night to give his team a chance to win, all in all he???s got this spot because of his team and his talents.
PG: Derrick Rose
Rose willed his team to the eighth seed in the playoffs nearly single-handedly. He is an all-star who???s best years are yet to come, which is scary. All in all this shouldn???t be the first time you see him on these lists. Also with the injury of Chris Paul, helped to give D-Will and Rose these positions, but even when Paul was healthy he was playing well. All in all Rose has earned this one.
Honorable Mention
C: Al Horford
PF: Pau Gasol Tim Duncan
SF: Kevin Durant Gerald Wallace
SG: Joe Johnson Brandon Roy
PG: Rajon Rondo Chauncey Billups
