Today, I tinkered with my fantasy baseball team for 20 minutes, but spent an hour on my Xbox baseball team.
Like most people, I work and my time is limited, and I find myself losing interest in my fantasy baseball team, spending less time on it and having less success. Eventually, this pattern will certainly lead to foregoing fantasy sports all-together.
Fantasy sports appealed to my competitive nature years ago, gave me a chance to participate in sports I could only watch previously. Now, video games and the growing popularity of online leagues are feeding my competitive needs much better.
Instead of merely drafting players and watching, I can draft players, control their at-bats, choose when they steal bases, swing for the fences or stretch for a double.
More control means more fun, means bye-bye fantasy sports, hello virtual gaming world.
