Basically, some genius and his genius attorney came up with a lawsuit to sue the Patriots for consumer fraud, in reference to their videotaping fiasco. He is suing for just over $184 million dollars for all Jets season ticket holders who had to watch 6 "fraudulent" games at the meadowlands against the Pats since Belichick arrived on the New England scene. My response to this is for Carl Mayer (plaintiff) to bring these "alleged" tapes to court......oh wait the NFL destroyed them, so I guess he can just piss off.
Now, in a related matter, I do take cheating seriously, and believe that I have found recordings of Texas Longhorns practices that were sold to Bob Stoops during the 5 year reign the Sooners had over the Longhorns. What really concerned me was the note that was attached saying, "Here is the practice tape you asked for. Bill." After this new evidence surfaced I immediately contacted my lawyer for a lawsuit that caused me a great deal of pain from 2000-2004, and am seeking just over $500 million and the head of Bob Stoops.
Both sound stupid and both should be thrown out, but I guess this is the justice system just getting abused a little more. It all really started when some other moron did not know that coffee, before iced coffee was really around, sued because he/she did not know coffee was hot, and was rewarded $9 million for being stupid.
