NL MVP: Matt Holliday
This was a tough one for me, but I decided to go with my instinct and pick Matt Holliday. He has led that team (Rockies) all the way back to playoff contention. With 3 more wins, they even make the playoffs! He is 1st in the NL in RBIs, 2nd in BA, 3rd in OPS, 3rd in SLG, 4th in HRs, and 4th in Rs. If that isn't good enough to win NL MVP then I don't know what is. If the Rockies make the playoffs, Matt Holliday automatically makes it in as MVP.
NL Cy Young Award: Jake Peavy
There is no doubt in my mind that he is the Cy Young Award winner if they make the playoffs or not. 1st in ERA, W, SO, and WHIP in the NL. Those are some dominate numbers right there. He is willing to do whatever he needs to help the team win games. Without him, that pitching staff would be, well, not that great. I don't see anyone even come close to him.
NL Rookie of the Year: Ryan Braun
Troy or Ryan? I was asking myself that question for quite some time. But when it is all set and done, Ryan Braun's numbers have been outstanding! 34 HRs, 96 RBIs, and a .323 BA. That is outsane for a rookie 3B. Sure he isn't a great defender, but just those numbers give him the award. In my opinion, Troy Tulowitzki is going to become a better overall player, but this year, Ryan has done better.
Manager of the Year: Clint Hurdle (Rockies) or Bob Melvin (D-Backs)?
This is kinda different, but I want you to tell me who I should pick as my Manager of the Year. I was waiting to see who out of these 2 teams who would make the playoffs. So what do you think? Who is the most improved and impressive team?
