Here are some more specific details for the Team Throwdown League.
Captains and their duties:
The captain of each team is responsible for drafting their team, managing the members of their team, and making sure TD topics are assigned as well as started eventually. They have to be active on Fan Nation a majority of the week, and be willing to put in a decent amount of work.
If interested, mention you want to be considered for captain status in the comments below.
Free Agents:
Undrafted members enter into a Free Agent pool, which will be kept as an updated post in the group.
If at any time you wish to be added to or removed from the Free Agent pool, let me know. People may join or retire from the group as they please.
On Sundays, captains may FM me with requested roster moves (the addition and removal of team members). On Monday, the moves will be made. If two teams attempt to claim the same member, the team with the worse record will add the member to their team, and the other team's captain will be asked to make a new selection ASAP.
If you are added to a team, it is the captain's job to notify you of their action. A message of the moves will also appear on the
The Topics
There will be a database of topics to start with. Hopefully the database will expand as more topics are suggested, but for now that's all. The Topics are arranged into 6 groups: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA F/B, and Other.
Here is a link to the topics: http://tinyurl.com/2avsegr
Each week, the captain of the lower ranked team will select 12 topics, 2 from each group, and assign them to their team, with 2 Topics assigned to each person. They will then send the 12 topics and who is doing them to the other captain, who will then select one of the two topics assigned to each member (so nobody does two Tds while somebody else does none). After they have been assigned, the captain of the team starting the TD will send the matchups (topics and who is doing them) to the other team's captain.
Matchups:
The lower ranked team in the matchup picks the initial topics and sends them to the higher ranked team. The higher ranked team's captain assigns the topics, notifies the other team's captain of the matchups and topics, and makes sure the Tds are started.
If there are any questions, let me know.
