Did you ever just know about something. A big game, a certain players performance just before it happens, how a tem would perform. You can't explain it, you just know. Well. I KNOW the Phillies are going to make the playoffs, I just know. I have the feeling, it's just going to happen. Sure I have been negative all season and I am probaly the last person in the world who should have this feeling but I have it and it is going to happen.
The above statement I wrote here on this blog 5 weeks ago. I am not repeating it here to toot my own horn rather to talk about the " feeling". I have never been able to explain it, it is just somrthing I feel. You see a team or an athlete and you just know they are going to win no matter how far behind. We all have had this same feeling. I believe in this team no matter what happens next. I believe they can come from any deficit to win. I am amazed that with all the injuries and poor pitching that they finished first. There really is no statistical reason for them to have won the division. You can make an argument from an offensive point of view but add pitching and well it is amazing.
So I am waiting for the " feeling" to come to me, nothing yet. Maybe after the Wild Card is settled. I have hope and I have confidence. So bring on the playoffs.
Ps. It was nice to see the Mets lose, hate to admit it but it does make it a little sweeter.
