| 10:11 AM ET  05.03 | So, in my time here, I've heard enough people comment that they want the Hall of Fame back. I was never on FN when this existed, but I feel like it's something I can handle and something that is worth having around.

 

Now, for those that are really new, the FN HOF is simply that: a Hall of Fame for TDers on the board who aren't around anymore or are just that much better than everyone.

 

There was a group that existed a couple years ago, but for reasons unknown to me, the group stopped. They had a large amount of inductees already into the HOF, and after hearing some requests from others and some thinking, I've decided that we'll keep those that are already inducted in the group.

This is the best list I could find. If someone who was an original member who knows of others who were voted into the HOF and I'm not listing them, please let me know immediately. Otherwise, this is our HOF, as of now.

 

Now, onto the RULES FOR THIS HOF

 

I'm going to use some of the rules from the last HOF as well as some of my own

 

Nominations

 

The best way to explain this is to use an example. So, let's say we're inducting an inaugural class for June 2010. For the month of May, I'll take nominations for anyone they feel should be nominate. To nominate someone, one should SEND ME THEIR 5 PERSON NOMINATION LIST TO ME VIA FM. If you leave it as a comment anywhere, I'll not count it. I'll accept nominations for the entirety of the month (i.e. for the June class, I'll accept nominations for all of May).

 

Now, to explain who can be nominated

 

There's going to be exceptions to every rule I make, but I'm going to use this as the basic ground work.

 

Must have a minimum of 50 completed TDs Must have either 20+ or 5,000 comments Must be around for at least 2 years

 

This should weed out any newbs who attempt to vote themselves in. It also should keep the voting to only great TDers. If anyone feels there should be stricter qualifications for being an inductee, let me know

 

Voting

 

Once the end of May comes, I'll compile the list of everyone nominated and pick the 10 most nominated TDers. Through the month of June, all members can vote on the 10-TDer inductee list I'll post. You will vote by placing all 10 members in order 1-10 of who you think is most deserving of being voted in to least. For each list, the person in 1st will receive 10 points, 2nd will receive 9, etc. YOU CAN ONLY VOTE ONCE. The top two vote getters at the end of the month will be inducted into the HOF. Speeches and presentations are optional

 

Also, let's not attempt to persuade people to vote for someone. I know Yoda makes hilarious videos and Alchemist makes great images, but other than those two, there are people who will campaign for votes.

 

Also, no voting or nominating yourself in.

 

Now, the 10 inductees each month won't know if they'll be voted in until the end of the month, so they can not be nominated for the next month while being voted upon.

 

For example, let's say Yoda is up for induction in March 2020. Voting for him will take place during March, so he can not be nominated for the April class. This does two things: (1) it allows for fresh faces every month and (2) it keeps it so not one person is up for induction every month and people vote him in unfairly.

 

I realize this is a lot of information to take in, but I want this done right. For those of you that read this far down, give yourself a pat on the back. For those that didn't, here's a shorter, condensed recap

Those nominated one month can not be nominated for the immediate next month

 

Vote for your top 10, ranking them from 1st to 10th in order of who you feel is most deserving.

 

Don't campaign for votes. You will be disqualified and the person you're campaigning for will be disqualified.

 

HAVE FUN WITH IT. Don't go out creating dupes to get into the HOF. If you're life is so pathetic you need to create dupes so that you get in here, (1) I should be fired for letting you on the nomination list, and (2) you have hit rock bottom. This is strictly for fun.
