Why Dirk? Steve dominated last year and should have won number 3 easily! He led the league in assists. Again. Averaged 15 and 10. Again. Not only 15 and 10, 19 and 10! His best yet! Led his team to 50 wins. AGAIN. If it weren't for Nash, none of these guys on the Suns would be the star players they are if it isn't for Nash.
While Dirk, on the other hand, has star players that would be even better if he wasn't playing. Yet he still won the MVP. Nash is more valuable. Yet he still lost the Most Valuable Player award.
