So we all know I am a football STAN...LOVE IT! But the same cannot be said about any other sport...I am tryin to get back into the basketball thing (I do work in the Wizards arena) but I just can't quite pick it up. During my brief stay in AZ, I developed an interest for the Suns...but not enough to get me excited about the kick off of training camp. I really feel like no Sport compares to football!
So yall help me, TEACH ME BBALL!!! I went to UNC, so IKNOW I HAVE to be the only Tar Heel who doesn't know ish about Bball....I met Brendon Haywood (whatever his name is) the other night and I thought dude was Ed Cota....thats how bad things are!!!! When I was at UNC I had my own personal seat in the lower level of the Dean Dome (2005 season, when we won the National Title) and I rarely went, if I did go I was sleep by half time!!! Needless to say I was considered the WORSE Homecoming Queen ever...haters! So if anyone wants to consider this their community service and give me some pointers on the sport...please do lol! Or should I pick up Baseball?

1)HOCKEY!!! Go see the Sabres play the Capitals in DC this year! And/or watch them on TV (10/13 @ BUF) You won't be disapointed! The rule changes have made hockey a great sport to watch on TV. The Sabres are the most exciting team in the league!!
2) Baseball reg season is boring...but the playoffs are thrilling. Every pitch matters. Enjoy it for the next month! and root for the CUBS!
3) Stick to college basketball over NBA. More excitement, better rivalries, and the players give an honest effort.

Man im just like you. I like playing basketball but not watching it. It just doesnt appeal to me. Baseball is way too slow for me. Its all about Football for me, so the offseason is sooooo slow.
Madden fills in the time between offseason tho, lol. That and Halo. But damn, I cant get into other sports.

Start by watching some classic NBA games. Doesn't matter if the players don't play now. Just watch to get into the excitement of basketball.
Also watch the Wizards they have a good team that is fun to watch.
Oh and buy all the hats, shirts, banners, bumper stickers and any other licensed product of this season champs the Detroit Pistons!!!
