Milwaukee Brewers outfielder, Jody Gerut, has made a name for himself in the MLB.
As a bench-player for the Brewers for the past 2 years, Gerut has finally made himself known around the league for his accomplishment.
After hitting a homerun, triple, and single in his first 3 at-bats, Gerut then stepped up to the plate to see if he could do something that not many other MLB players have done, hit for the cycle. He failed to get a hit in his at-bat, same for his next. But with 1 out in the ninth, he had one more chance. He needed a double to make him one of only 6 Brewers players to hit for the cycle. He drove the second pitch of his at-bat off the centerfield wall and trotted into second with ease.
Gerut could barely control his excitement as the camera showed glimpses of him trying to hold back a smile.
No matter how he does in the rest of his career (which hasn't been amazing), at least he will have this accomplishment to tell his grandchildren about.
