02:57 PM ET  10.04 |        Let me start by saying that I have been a 49er fan since I began watching football.I really thought this year was going to be a pretty descent year for the Niners,although I still have a small glimmer of hope.With Alex Smith being out for I don't know how long,Vernon Davis is out for a couple more games and Manny Lawson out for the season,my glimmer of hope keeps getting smaller.Last week against the Seahawks really made me sick.I thought with Smith being out it really wouldn't be that bad but boy was I wrong.I really expected Dilfer to come in there and really give us a chance,but what he gave us wasn't a chance at all,I just hope this week against the Ravens he proves me wrong.Another thing is that I haven't seen any kind of imagination when it comes to the offense.They are beyond predictable when it comes to the play calling.I would like to see them really open it up because they have the recievers to do it with,with Lelie,Jackson,and Battle.There not even giving Gore a chance at having a hundred yard game when thet don't even threaten to open it up.There Defense is looking great but when they play just about the whole game they are going to give up some points.They need the offense to give them a break.I know it doesn't sound like I am a fan but when you grew up watching Montana,Rice,Taylor,Craig,and Steve Young it's kind of hard not to get upset.Each year I begin with the hope that this will be the year and the future years will be no different.I will always have that hope and begin each year just as excited as the last.
