The thing that amazes me most about the Phillies is that for a team that hasn't played postseason baseball in 14 years they sure as hell aren't playing it with a whole lot of feeling
The fact of the matter is this Rollins, Howard, and Utley went a combined 0-for-11 in a 4-2 loss. Considering their latest blunder at the hands of the Rockies it's become clear to me that with the way that they're playing that they don't BELONG in the playoffs. I would hope that the team will play with some heart in Game three, if not, it'll be another 14 years before they make it back.
Basically the Phils first foray into October baseball for the first time in 14 years will be a disaster waiting to happen. The problem with the Phils is simple: They got so used to sitting at home watching the games that they never got used to the fact that God Forbid that they might not only win the division that they might actually win some playoff games if they're lucky.
My point is this in order for them to start winning games they need to be motivated and with the way they're playing that clearly won'y happen
