With the recent NBA Draft Lottery, we saw a team that deserved the top pick get passed by two better teams, the Washington Wizards and the Philidelphia 76ers. This year has seemed to be the final straw for fans who oppose the Draft Lottery, with more ESPN articles and Twitters about it.

To figure out the best way to do a Draft Lottery is a nightmare. You want to have the worst team get the pick but if you don't want anyone tanking to get the number 1 pick. With a lottery though, teams don't tank and then the teams deserving of a number 1 pick get robbed.

But I have come up with an easy and quick solution.

16 teams make the playoffs
14 teams don't

 Those 14 teams would be allowed one ping pong ball for every loss they had over the past season.

 So this would be how ping pong balls each team recieves

Nets (70)
Timberwolves (67)
Kings (57)
Warriors (56)
Wizards (56)
76ers (55)
Pistons (55)
Knicks (53)
Clippers (53)
Pacers (50)
Hornets (45)
Raptors (42)
Grizzlies (42)
Rockets (40)

At the NBA Draft Lottery show, the 1st pick is announced right at the start. Then the 2nd pick, then the 3rd, then the 4th, then the 5th, etc. All the way to 14. If you choose a ping pong ball of a team that has already been picked, no worries, you set them down and choose again.

 This system makes sure that every team gets the PERFECT chance of winning the lottery, based off how their season went according to everybody elses. Yes, luck is still involved, but you earn(!) your chances.
