I saw this on the cover of National Examiner, a very trusted news source, a few weeks ago at a grocery store and could not contain my laughter. The issue had a cover discussing stars that were gay or straight, and one man in particular caught me off guard: Dale Earnhardt Jr. To follow up on this, I did some searching on the Internet. The magazine stated that Earnhardt Jr. is "35 years old with no girlfriend" and also made a reference to Earnhardt's new candy bar, entitled "Big Mo", which apparently is some kind of gay slang. It also pointed out the fact that Junior "never has a woman standing next to him in Victory Lane." I say that that statement is made up and should be deleted, because it's been so long since Dale Earnhardt Jr. has actually been to Victory Lane that no one can remember who was with him.
Is there a possibility that Earnhardt Jr. is gay? I honestly don't think so. Being raised in the South with a tough-as-nails father, usually things like homosexuality do not present themselves as possible. I think that it's possible that his recent struggles on the track have caused him to take more time preparing for the races, leading to less nights out on the town, leading to less chances to meet women to date, leading to these gay rumors.
This isn't the only rumor out there about Earnhardt Jr's love life. In a story that was on FanNation a while back, Eastern Kentucky assistant defensive line coach Tommy Cook claims that Little E broke up his marriage. Cook told one of his friends that NASCAR's most popular driver stole his wife, and his father backs his story up. There's even a picture of them together! There's no way that could be doctored! Hey, what sounds more exciting? Getting divorced because you can't stand each other anymore, or getting divorced because your wife is messing around with the son of The Intimidator? That's what I thought.
I'm not really sure why magazines like the Examiner go after the possibility of a gay NASCAR driver so much. Before Earnhardt Jr, Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon graced the cover of such magazines very often. Two marriages and two children later, it appears that some false information was given to the magazines. My guess is that this isn't the first time that such a problem has occured in these tabloid magazines.

Probably bisexual. Below average driver. Famous because of his father.
