In response to:
Browns split on Quinn & Peterson?
Browns owner Randy Lerner is said to prefer Brady Quinn, who is from Ohio but could take a season or two to develop. Browns general manager Phil Savage and coach Romeo Crennel are said to prefer Adrian Peterson, who could have immediate impact.

I can see why the Browns will agonize over which player to pick. Peterson is the top RB in the draft who has some durability concerns, but has rushed for over a thousand yards each year at Oklahoma. Quinn is the most polished QB and NFL ready in the draft. Many pundits knock his accuracy and his apparent inability to win clutch games at the collegiate level. I question the scouting acumen of the Browns staff, as they have yet to really hit on a solid draft so far. My two cents: Either take Brady Quinn and make him your franchise QB, or trade out of #3 and pick up more choices to bulk up the O-line and other critical need areas. There are several quality QB's, RB's and lineman available in rounds 2-4.
