Al Sharpton has asked Isaiah Thomas to apologize for his use of the "b" word towards black women and more importantly  saying it's okay for a black man to use the word. Al says if Isaiah does not apologize he will call for a boycott of the NY Knicks this season. Although it might be tough to tell if the empty seats are there because of the boycott are because the Knicks suck. Click link below to read the entire story:

This from the guy who tried and convicted an entire university without any evidence?

Besides, during the whole Don Imus fiasco, Stuart Scott said the same thing Thomas did. I don't recall anyone busting his chops for it.

Sexual harrassment is big money. Women of all races, take note: idiots like Isiah Thomas are everywhere. You can take anything they say and prove, in a court of law, that you were offended. It's worth $11 million. And you don't even need the plaintiff's education to cash in on it!

October 6, 2007  07:41 PM ET

Yep... Sharpton's turning into more and more of a buffoon every day. $11Mil??? I want my piece... Forget you Sharpton, and the weakass NAN. An apology from Idiosiah aint gonna buy me a new Jag-Jag... I want MY Bunche Sanders cut o tha loot...
Seriously, what's this goddamned judge thinking? I've heard worse language directed at me in elementary school, BY THE TEACHERS. Give Bunche a parting Knick tote bag and a two for one coupon to Red Lob and call it a day.

That's fantastic research, Lar...I did not know that. It doesn't surprise me in the least, either.

Al Sharpton is a piece of human garbage, and not a man of his people the way he claims to be. It's obvious that, with the massive mistakes he's made lately, Sharpton is going after Thomas simply to try to win points back in Sharpton's failing public relations status.

He had the opportunity to speak out on this very same topic after the Imus situation, and chose instead to try to cover up his reckless and irresponsible stance on the Duke Lacrosse Farce by pinning all the hate in the world on Imus (who is just as big an idiot). Since he had no answer at all to explain why it is Imus isn't allowed to say negative words toward other races when there is an entire culture of music, movies and art geared around that same form of expression.

Now, he can easily pile on another moron like Isiah, just like he did with Imus, all the while never having to explain why it is he destroyed the lives of several kids and an entire team along with them. He had all completely false information, and, just like in your example, Larry, he backed a bald-faced liar for no reason other than the fact she was black, and he had a chance to get in every headline in the country.

Isiah is down enough right now, Al. No sense trying to use him to cushion your own fall. I'm looking forward to your inevitable tax evasion conviction. Whom do you intend to blame? The I.R.A. again?

I don't think Sharpton is demanding Isiah apologize for the sexual harrassment suit he just lost (heaven forbid he do that!), Ruby. Isiah said, while explaining why he called her a "****", that it's a term used for black women.

Sharpton wouldn't have a chance to correct his past mistake of failing to take a stand on the issue back in April if he went after Thomas for the actual crime he committed.

October 6, 2007  07:50 PM ET

I take "the Knicks suck." for 200, Alex...

October 6, 2007  07:57 PM ET

Actually, Isiah said that .."if a white man called a black woman a B, then i would be offended." But when asked if about if a black man did it he said-.."well then it wouldn't be as bad."
Summary- There are too many utter buffoons in the news-
List- Sharpton, Isiah, Bunche, the Judge in the "case", Marbury, that floozy that slept with Marbury and said she didn't like it, anyone that supports Sillary Clinton (unrelated, but i had to throw that in)

October 6, 2007  07:58 PM ET

This manager jus recently added "sexual harrassment" to his long list of achievements, including, running the CBA into the ground, destroying the Indiana Pacers from the inside out, and not being allowed on the Dream Team because nobody liked him.

<Beep!>

Ruby!

The thing that torques me off the most about boycotts is that I likely don't ever go see that team play anyway. By definition that means I'm boycotting going to that team's games because of Isiah Thomas.

Wait, that's actually partially true. Just not for Sharpton's reasons.

October 6, 2007  07:59 PM ET

(that was supposed to be a play off your Jeopardy! question...didn't time it very well...my bad)

October 6, 2007  08:06 PM ET

(I'm bouncing back n forth between here and arguing with 2 women-lib betards on another site about Sillary. You should hear some of these dumbasses and why they want to vote for this imbecile.)

No, but really, Al (not too) Sharp-ton takes race relations back to the days of Stepinfechit.. Just add a press and curl relaxer...

October 6, 2007  08:23 PM ET

I fear for our country's survival if/when that woman takes charge. Our enemies are going to look at us the same way the Rockies did when Manuel took out Kendrick for Kyle Freakin' Lohse. Just licking their chops...

October 6, 2007  09:08 PM ET

God forbid. Who do you like, Cooz? i did a whole candidate report card thing-
Obama- A-
Romney-B+
Rudy-D+
Sillary-F-

October 6, 2007  09:32 PM ET

I'd probably go with Romney if it was today. I just don't think either Democratic candidate has the ability to unite both parties, which is something Congress needs right now. Romney's got a better chance, cuz there's less to hold against him. Obama is a bit young and acts a bit too aggressive (strangely, politicians don't like idealists...neither do I, though...I'm jaded, I suppose). I don't see him having the compromising leadership needed. I'm still not even sure how Hilary is getting the support she is, as she doesn't seem to even be all that popular inside her own party. Let's keep in mind, this is a woman not even from New York, moved to that state strictly for the purpose of running for the senate because it was the first open seat available in blue state.

Yet, Democratic voters often say they don't wish to vote for the "career politician" types, and want to put someone in there they feel they can relate to.

While I'll be the first to admit I can't say the average American is relating to the Mormon Governor from Massachusetts, I'm not sure how well they can related to the Carpet-Bagger from the south who basically bought a seat in New York. Nor do I feel a tug at the heart strings in reading all the wonderful yet wholly improbable things he would like to burn our money on from a very intelligent public relations man like Obama.

Romney has accomplished more in his life than Hilary and Obama combined, and the diversity in management and leadership he has demonstrated buries the both of them. That's politics right there. It's never the best choice for either party, it's the best compromise. Unfortunately, Rudy's got the street cred, so I think Mitt is kinda screwed, but oh well. McCain was my guy over Bush in the first place. My guy is usually the compromise-cut for the party.

October 6, 2007  09:49 PM ET

yeah, Mitt's good. He's capable of leading this nation. I could live with him, but I think Barack is a slightly wiser candidate with better foresight and would do the best job.
Rudy or Sillary would be a disaster. Neither is qualified at all. We would be in a ticking time-bomb situation with either. Sillary has support from mostly women. I go to her website and stir up trouble on a daily basis and it's 90% female. But she would set us ladies back 100 years with what i know would be the worse administration in history... And then I'll never get my chance to run, cuz she effed it up for everybitch...

October 6, 2007  09:57 PM ET

Now Ruby...remember...the "Reverend" Al Sharpton says the word Bbitch is not appropriate...therefore we must never use it.
