All comments and criticism are greatly appreciated! This was one of the hardest polls to figure out yet.
1. LSU Tigers - The comeback win over Florida just confirms that this is the best team in the nation. 5/5 on 4th downs, Les Miles had amazing faith in the talent on this team and it payed off. Previous - 1
2. California Golden Bears - With USC losing this confirms my ranking of Cal last week. Previous - 2
3. Ohio State Buckeyes - OSU faced it's first quality opponent in Purdue and held them to 7 points, The Buckeyes are the clear favorite in the Big 10, but they face Penn St, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan their final four games of the year, Can they survive it? Previous - 5
4. USF Bulls - The Bulls survived a trap game against FAU while many other ranked teams have fallen over the past 2 weeks. Once again USF must not look past UCF this week, with Rutgers looming the week after. Previous - 4
5. Oklahoma Sooners - The Sooners bounced back and won the Red River Shootout over rival Texas, Oklahoma just proved they are still the Big 12 favorite. Previous - 7
6. Oregon Ducks - The Ducks are still within inches of at least a chance of where Cal is ranked. Previous - 8
7. South Carolina Gamecocks - A solid victory over Kentucky and their only loss is to LSU, Steve Spurrier has this team on the right track. Previous - 10
8. Boston College Eagles - Still the class of the ACC but the true test of this team's merits will be at the end of the year when they face Virginia Tech, Florida State, Maryland, Clemson and Miami down the stretch. Previous - 11
9. USC Trojans - Give Stanford and coach Jim Harbough all the credit in the world, even with all the upsets over the past 2 weeks, nobody saw this one coming. USC still has to face Oregon and Cal, The Trojans title hopes are now in serious jeporady. Previous - 3
10. West Virginia Mountaineers - Way to bounce back after the loss to USF, by putting up 55 against Syracuse. The Orangemen never had a chance. Previous - 13
11. Florida Gators - This may be a little high for a 2 loss team but this is the best 2 loss team in the country, the Gators repeat national title hopes are over. Previous - 6
12. Virginia Tech Hokies - A solid win over Clemson and just as the case with South Carolina, though it was a blowout, their only loss was to LSU. Previous - 15
13. Missouri Tigers - A blowout of overrated Nebraska shows that the undefeated Tigers are serious contenders in the Big 12. Previous - 17
14. Cincinatti Bearcats - A solid win over Rutgers keeps these cats undefeated and gives them a real chance in the Big East. Previous - 18
15. Kentucky Wildcats - Though they are fun team to watch South Carolina's defense shut them down, it will be interesting to see how Kentucky responds to their first loss. Previous - 9
16. Hawaii Warriors - The Warriors did what they were supposed to and beat Utah St. but the injury to Colt Brennan has to be a concern for the Warriors. Previous - 16
17. Arizona State Sun Devils - They are still undefeated but have not played Cal, Oregon or USC yet. Previous - 19
18. Illinois Fighting Illini - 5-1 and undefeated in the Big 10, Ron Zook has done an amazing job with this program. After the Buckeyes Illinois is the next best team in the Big 10. Previous - 24
19. Wisconsin Badgers - The loss to Illinois was seen coming by all those who knew the Badgers were not a Top 5 football team. Previous - 14
20. Auburn Tigers - These Tigers are the true wildcard in the SEC for the rest of the year, they face a tough test in Arkansas this week. Previous - 25
21. Florida State Seminoles - After losing in week 1 to Clemson the 'Noles have rolled off 4 straight wins and they still have a shot at the ACC title. Previous - NR
22. Texas Longhorns - Texas played a tough game against the Sooners, it was a lot closer than I expected, so the Longhorns dont fall that far. Previous - 20
23. Tennessee Volunteers - Their blowout of Georgia gets them back into the Top 25, with their only losses to Cal and Florida this team will be intersting to keep an eye on the rest of the year. Previous - NR
24. Purdue Boliermakers - The loss to Ohio State shows that Purdue is good football team but still in the second tier in the Big 10. Previous - 22
25. Kansas Jayhawks - It's hard to keep and undefeated Big 12 team out of the Top 25, there are still questions with this team because of the weak schedule so far. Previous - NR
And the next 5...
26. Georgia Bulldogs
27. Rutgers Scarlet Knights
28. Michigan Wolverines
29. Penn State Nittany Lions
30. Texas A&M Aggies
Dropped from the Top 25...
Rutgers, Georgia, Clemson

Didn't Auburn Beat Florida and didn't Kansas State beat Texas and didn't Mississippi State beat Auburn and didn't Colorado beat Oklahoma. Why are these teams not in the Top-25 considering they have played tougher schedules and have identical or superior records (I am considering a team within +/- one win as similar or equal)?
This poll isn't any more ridiculous than all the others. It's time for a regular season bracketed playoff to determine the bowl games.

I also agree with your rankings...well thought out and seemingly unbiased and pretty objective. I also agree with you that Purdue is a solid team...they'll surprise someone in their bowl game as will several other BIg 10 teams. LSU definitely looks to be the team to beat this year.
