What is with the SEC these days. It seems that year after year the SEC gets more and more unpredictable. Are the more mediocre teams in the SEC getting better or are the better teams in the SEC getting worse? I think we are looking at a little bit of both here. You have typical teams everyone thinks about when mentioning the SEC such as, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn and Alabama. The past few years though we have been seeing the uprising of other SEC teams such as Arkansas, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and this year Kentucky. With the exception of only Mississippi and Mississippt State, any team has the ability to beat any team on any given Saturday. Oh, but wait, Mississippi State took out Auburn earlier this year. Auburn, a team which defeated Florida in the Swamp 2 weeks ago to end a home win streak for the Gators. So, what are your takes on the SEC? Is the SEC getting stronger overall or are the better teams just falling to a weaker level enabling the mediocre teams to take advantage?
Currently South Carolina holds the top spot in the SEC east and controls its own destiny the the Championship game. If the game were held today, which 2 teams, in your oppinion, would be the most deserving of going? Would it be South Carolina and LSU or another 2? Which 2 teams do you think will end up in the Championship in the end?
In my oppinion, I still think Florida and LSU are the 2 top teams in the SEC and would make for a great rematch in the Championship game on neutral ground. I also think it will be Florida and LSU in the end. That might be a little bit of a homer pick with me being a Gator fan but who cares? I think the Gators run the table from here on out.
The oppinions in this article are that of the author. I am not a sports writer, just a fan. Would love some feedback.
