I have to say I was mortified/embarrassed by Travis Johnson's on field antics and post game interview. It was completely classless for him to stand over Trent Green's motionless body and taunt him. His comments after the game, "Fu@% Trent Green..." were even worse. I say to Travis Johnson: "FU@% YOU, Travis. You are an embarrassment to your team and city, and do not deserve to wear the Texans' uniform."
So, I'd like to appologize on behalf of Travis (since he doesn't even have the balls to admit he was wrong, or to issue a heartfelt apology).... I'm sending this "I'm Sorry" out to Trent Green, his family and friends, and to the dolphins organization.
Please realize that Johnson's behavior is not representative of the Texans organization or its fans.
Here's hoping that Trent makes a full recovery.

Perhaps your message here will inspire a Dolphin's fan to apologize to Travis Johnson for Trent Green's "legal" cut-block, which was made from a blind angle into his kneecap. I'm actually glad Johnson had the good sense to release his frustration verbally instead of physically, as we've seen in the past.
I'm not saying what he did was completely right, but I understand his frustration and anger.

I can ALMOST understand Johnson's on field antics...while that block was "legal", it could be construed as a cheap shot. However, the "heat of battle" argument goes out the window when Travis continued his tirade in the post game interview. Very few quarterbacks throw technically sound blocks...does anyone REALLY think Trent Green was TRYING to injure Johnson??? The bottom line is that Johnson wasn't injured and Green was.

I agree with you Proze Johnson is an idiot.Anyone can see it was an accident and Green wasn't trying to injure him.Green just doesn't know how to tackle right and is now paying for it.If you wan't to see something really funny check out Travis Johnson's stats this year ! The team waterboy could tackle better than this guy.

Cancer: There was nothing wrong with Green's block. As of this moment in the NFL, it's perfectly legal. And it's the only way a 200+ pound QB can block a 300+ pound defensive lineman. If Johnson can't handle it, he should take up macrame'.
Prozac: Nice blog! Have the Texans released an official statement yet? Do you think they will?

I don't fault Johnson for the onfield stuff. I assume he didn't know Green was out cold. Cause if he did that was pretty weak. The post game stuff was uncalled for.

I would like to apologize for Travis Johnson's on/off field reaction as being an african-american. Hopefully this apology will stifle and deter any future up and coming racial slurs that usually stur up duuring times like this.
Trent was only protecting himself as best he could. Which is why he won't be fined for the block.

I just don't buy that, Hawkeye... I was watching the game on TV, and it took me 2 seconds to realize Green was out. Johnson was standing right over Green's motionless body that was face down. It was beyond tacky and down right classless. Yes, it was a questionable block, but for now- it was a LEGAL block. Trent Green's been in the NFL for many years...has anyone ever accused him of being a dirty player? Not to my knowledge. By the time the game was over, Travis should have had a chance to calm down, yet he talks **** about a player that was carted off the field on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to the hospital. There's no excuse for that.

First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to Trent Green. Hopefully he can bounce back from this injury.
That being said,Travis Johnson is lucky he doesn't have a broken neck or a ruined knee after that block. He got pissed off and rightfully so. There is no way that he would have gone off like that if he knew that Trent Green was seriously injured on the ground. He just got up after the hit, pissed off and he and his team got penalized. True, the hit was "legal", but if you were in TJ's shoes, then you would have been pissed too. He defiantly should have shown more class afterwards in the locker room. Most football players who have been in TJ's position will agree that that type of cut block is the worst kind of block and can definitely end your career. TJ was thinking about losing his career. Did you even see this 300 pound man get hit square in the knee, fly up into the air, and land on his head?????????? I hate to everything that Trent Green got injured, but how can you say that Travis Johnson is an embarrassment to the city, team, and sport, for him expressing his right to be pissed off at almost losing his livelyhood? If his knee would have gotten blown out, and Trent Green would not have gotten knocked out, I bet you would be singing a different story.

None of us would have anything to say if Johnson had just shut his yap after watching Green get carted off the field on a backboard...

I understand him being angry on the field and dissing Trent Green on the field, but saying what he did after the game was appaling to me. I just hope Trent Green gets better and he can become healthy soon, because this was an injury that shouldn't have happened at all.
