The LCS begins tonight as the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Colorado Rockies in the National League. And then tomorrow the American League begins with the Boston Red Sox against the Cleveland Indians. Both series are best of 7 series. Here are my thoughts on both series.
ALCS
Red Sox VS Indians
The Red Sox sweep the Angels, while the Indains beat the Yankees in 4 games. The Red Sox are a more balance team than the Indains. There pitching is really good. But the Indians pitching is underrated, especially with starting pitchers C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona. Both teams have good offenses and paly good defenses. The Red Sox won the season series 5-2, but that doesn't really matter. Something tell me that the Indians will win this series. Indains in 6.
NLCS
Diamondbacks VS Rockies
These 2 teams have gone under the radar this season. The Diamondbacks sweep the Cubs, while the Rockies sweep the Phillies. The Rockies have won 17 of their last 18 games, including winning the 1 game playoff against the Padres andthen seeping the Phillies. The Diamondbacks had the best record in the National League. No one expected them to be here. The key player in this series is pitcher Brandon Webb. He is by far the best starting pitcher between the 2 teams. Webb has to win his starts in order for the Diamondbacks to win. He is however 1-3 against the Rockies this year. The Rockies won the season series 10-8 agianst the Diamondbacks. And while the Rockies and Diamondbacks had 4 days before the series starts, which will hurt a liitle bit, the Rockies are on a roll, and will ride this magic carpet ride to the World Series. Rockies in 6.
