STING..
I"m going a different route.. let me give credit to where it's due and explain myself. The best professional wrestlers in my era being born in '83.. the HULKSTER, the UNDERTAKER, Stonecold, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, and Shawn Michaels..
the Rock's time in WWF was overshadowed by his HORRIBLE movies in my opinion. Bret Hart.. he didn't last as long as the Heart break kid in the WWF/E so i'm excluding him..
WE all know HOgan's IN ring performances were not the best.. As far as getting the crowd into it.. INSANE but his leg drop and over hand right hand .. lol just isn't going to cut it.. There is no question that Hulk MADE wrestling what it is, and he is still doing it in TNA.. hats off to Hulkamania and Hollywood.. I will say this.. his HEEL TURN was ONE OF THE BEST STORY LINES EVER CREATED.. the NWO was now formed..
THE UNDERTAKER.. he's undefeated STILL at Wrestle MAnia, wow.. HE came into the WWF with a blaze of glory.. I remember watching him fight HOgan at Survivor Series '91 like yesterday.. the Hulkamaniacs were conquered by the EVIL of Paul Bearer and the Taker.. I actually saw the Undertaker fight in Savannah GA in WCW under the alias "MEAN" Mark CAllous.. Vince McMahon doing what he does best.. making wrestlers from other promotions look even better than be4.. with a new GIMMICk.. anyways, the Undertaker has been in and out of the WWE of late with injuries.. He has been HW champ many times.. He's had some serious fueds... but for some reason.. he doesn't do it for me.. The Deadman has his place in HISTORY for sure and is known as one of the best but i'll say no..
NOw for fannation's favorite.. STONECOLD STEVE AUSTIN.. Steve Austin was one hell of a wrestler be4 his days in WWF.. I remember watching him fight Ricky Steamboat at the clash of champions. I also remember him having PLENTY of matches against Dustin Rhodes in WCW.. Steve Austin made a name for himself in WCW.. When WWF picked him up and pushed him he had the GREAT TEd Dibiase at his side. The Million Dollar belt was around the waist of STeve Austin/ Ring Master.. AFter winning the King of the Ring.. Stonecold was ALIVE.. Stonecold was one of the MOST popular wrestlers in PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING HISTORY. Stonecold didn't have the longevity in the WWF for me tho....
Ric Flair.. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. What can i say 16x HW champ.. LEGEND.. Ric Flair is actually STILL wrestling.. he has a match July 11, 2010 against Jay Lethal.. an upcoming star in the making for TNA.. Ric Flair and the Four Horseman.. Wow, what memories i have of them.. Arn Anderson the enforcer took care of business.. Fueds out the YING YANg.. i could take up this WHOLE blog talking about Flair a.k.a the "NATURE BOY" but i'm not.. The Figure Four leg lock was monumental on the neighborhood TRAMPOLINE.. lmao..
now to the reason i'm writing this.. STING..
STing first started off teaming up with the Ultimate Warrior in CWA.. He went on to NWA/WCW where totally dominated the PROMOTION.. Sting has had many awards that people don't know about .. he's had 23 championships throughout all the promotions he's been in.. HE's a 6x WCW WORLD HW champ, 2x NWA WORLD HW CHAMP, 2x WCW INTERNATIONAL HW CHAMP, and 2X TNA HW CHAMP. The reason i like STing over all these greats above is because Sting had better in RING abilities.. HOgan and Flair in My opinion i'd usually have them 1 & 2 on the list but i'm going a diff. route like i told ya'll from the beginning.. Sting was in THREE of the biggest matches in WCW history .. in my opinion.. First tagged w/Lex Luger vs the Stiener Bros in Superbrawl '91.. Superbrawl '92 he faced Lex Luger head on with Harley Race in Luger's corner.. the 3rd match was when Sting w/ the Crow gimmick fought Hollywood HOgan at Starcade '97 .. this was a DREAM match for any WRASTLIN fans.. Sting had ruled WCW while HOgan was tearing up the WWF in the early 90's.. now it was time to see who was the REAL ICON.. Sting won that match by the way in controversial fashion.. Some of my favorite Sting rivalries.. Vader, CActus Jack, Rick Rude, Jake the Snake, the Great Muta, Flair, HOgan, and Nikita Koloff. Sting is the best in my opinion because of his lonGEVITY.. still going strong.. just had a recent Hw title shot on PPV against Rob Van Dam in TNA.. STing's most impressive victories Lex Luger, the Giant a.k.a the Big show, ummm.. Flair, Hulk HOgan, and basically anybody they put him up against more than once.. ha .. Sting was the MOST POPULAR wrestler in WCW history minus Hollywood Hulk(Flair was always HEEL).. Sting PUT WCW on his back as a FACE for the CoMPANY.. Sting NEVER went up NOrth to Vincent Kennedy McMahon.. Sting is still FIGHTING On a regular basis.. you can't say that for ANY Of the greats i listed.. Taker's hurt, Michael's supposedly RETIRED, HOgan is running tna, and Flair is coming in out of the ring whenever he wants.. Sting could get the fans pumped outside and IN THE RING with his skill set or moves.. nothing like the STING'ER splash, the SCORPION DEATHLOCK, or the Crow gimmick's Scorpion Death DROP.. Maybe i should reword this whole blog.. i just came to a conclusion while writing all this.. i can say this with EASE because some of these wrestlers history are TOO TOO STRONG .. Steve Borden a.k.a Sting is the BEST WRESTLER NOT TO WRESTLE IN WWF/E.. ! that' i can STICK TOO.. had fun getting redneck dirty with ya'll .. WRestling isn't the same as it use to be,but Sting is STILL prevalent in the WRESTLING GAME.. i can tell you that..maybe i'm biased but shoot.. it's a dam blog.. later folks..
