LET ME JUST START OUT BY SAYING THIS:

DEVIN HESTER IS GODLY.

Also I have no idea why NFL teams didn't pick Adrian Peterson during the NFL Draft.  I mean, what were the other six teams that picked before them thinking?

Oh yeah, I should also talk about the call-a-timeout-right-before-the-field-goal strategy.  We shouldn't do anything to change it.  I mean, of course it sucks to lose after someone uses that strategy, but it could go either way.  The kicker could miss the field goal before the time out, then make the second one.  Also, timeouts are part of the game, no matter how you use them.

So onto my rankings...

1. New England Patriots
It was actually a closer game than everyone else made it seem like.  The last 10 points were garbage time points, where Dallas had already lost the game.  Nevertheless, they beat a pretty good Dallas team.

2. Indianapolis Colts
Let me tell you what this team is made of.  Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy.  This team relies even more on its QB and the coach than...the New England Patriots.  That's saying a bunch.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers
I don't really know who else to put here.  But I feel sorry to the Steelers for saying that again in their description.  So I'll just write more than other teams.  Okay.  They had a bye, and they seem like they're making no headlines.  I think that's fine with the team.  As Michael Vick says, the less headlines you make, the better team you are.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars
Welcome back, Mr. Jones-Drew.  I still remember when you were just Maurice Drew, without the "Jones," at UCLA.  At first I didn't like it, but now I like it, and I also like what your team is doing.  David Garrard isn't a star, but is a quality quarterback that doesn't make mistakes.  Most teams in the NFL right now would kill for a QB like that.

5. San Diego Chargers
They disposed of the Raiders 28-14, and Tomlinson is officially back.  Raiders looked like the Faiders of yesteryear.  The Chargers have acquired the services of Miami WR Chris Chambers.  Will he have a Moss-like effect on the Chargers?  Or will he derail a team that just got back on track?

6. New York Giants
They've won four games in a row, and pulled away from a weak Falcons team after going back and forth in the beginning of the Monday Night game.  Seems like the G-Men are better without Tiki after all.

7. Dallas Cowboys
I wanted to put them lower.  I knew they didn't deserve the third spot in last week's rankings, but I just had no one to put there.  They can beat up the weaker teams, I admit, but against top flight AFC teams, they're no match.  Actually, they'd lose to half the AFC, and I really think this is the best team in the NFC.  Wow.

8. Baltimore Ravens
Chris McAlister finally got a pick, and so did four other Ravens.  They shut down an EXTREMELY weak St. Louis Rams team.

9. Carolina Panthers
This amazes me.  They have an 0-2 home record, while having a 4-0 road record.  And they won a game with my grandpa, Vinny Testaverde.  I heard Vinny was best friends with Alan Greenspan when the two went to school together in the 1940s.

10. Green Bay Packers
I REALLY don't see them competing anymore.  They really didn't deserve to win that last game against the Redskins, and they are really winning with really nothing special.  Really.  Yes, really.  It's just smokes and mirrors, but I guess I give SOME credit to the Packs.  A win's a win, and Green Bay has five of 'em.

THE REST:
11. Cleveland Browns

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

13. Washington Redskins

14. Kansas City Chiefs

15. Tennessee Titans

16. Oakland Raiders

17. Seattle Seahawks

18. Houston Texans

19. Chicago Bears

20. New Orleans Saints

21. Arizona Cardinals

22. Minnesota Vikings

23. Denver Broncos

24. Detroit Lions
