The Coke-Zero I 400 was a most stressful race to watch but it was even more stressful when listen to the TNT broadcast.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but after listening to the broadcast I really miss Darrel Waltrip, at least he's funny, this guys are just plain silly or maybe just too smart for me.
I find myself muttering obscenities at the TV and yelling at the top of my lungs "please pipe-down already"
Am I the only one who feels this way?
Are the TNT NASCAR broadcasters talking way above the average fans head ?
Could Kyle Petty be too analytical for us little folks, you know, the casual fan that just wants to sit and not think too much.
I'm talking about the guy that just wants a good burger and a cold beer while watching the race.
You know what I'm saying, we all know those fans, don't we ?
All the average fan wants is good information, after the wrecks I wanted to know who was in and who was out, I just did not feel I got that information, when "the big one" happened at the Coke-Zero 400 it appeared confusion had taken over the booth.
There were too many people talking !
Again, that's just my opinion , you may have a different point of view.
Look, I hate to criticize those hard working folks at TNT, but their broadcast when compared to the others is just not as good .
Maybe there is too much inside information given, too much talk about strategy, "just the facts ma'am" -quote from the old television show Dragnet- might be a good mission statement for the broadcast.
Oh well, It is what it is, there is one more broadcast left and we then go to ESPN.
Will that be better?
Only time will tell.
As always this is just a fans opinion and from what I understand eveverybody has one and I thank God for that.
