Everyone asking why didn't it work? Simple when ever you get in a situation where someone is making more money doing the exact same thing you are doing, and on top of that they are in the same company. Ofcourse it's a great deal for the one who is making more money. I think we need to take a look back.

Who can remember the SWC? Made up of Texas teams which I might add sevaral were put on probation for various violations and if I remember Houston had the death penalty. See one of two things are going to happen when a team gets a larger share of the revenue. ONE : You are going to see more NCAA violations, mainly because it's the only way a team can be competative withthose teams recieving the larger share. When tis merger took place I coul see he wrting on the wall. When the Big 12 was formed and Texas took away a rivalry game tha had been played every year since 1927 I knw then they didn't care about tradition. The attitude of how much money can I make here is sucking the very life out of college football. TWO: We are seeing it happen again just like the SWC the Big 12 is done. The beat scenario that ofcourse Texas could come up with was running a 10 team conference a eventually incorporate those other teams sitting on the fence one of them being Houston yes the team hat had the death penalty in the SWC days' Basically all they are doing is trying to hold on to who ever so they can suck more money out of them. My perfect scenario is Texas waking up and finding themselves on the same island that ND is on great program but no ties and and the way the BCS is set up with no conference they just close another door to national tittle.

Good luck to all who stays especially OU. When the OU - Neb game was put on a 2yr rotation it was like part of my childhood was taken away, now I see it vanishing. I hope they make the right decisions goodluck.
