Readers,
I cannot wait for this game to start. I know that playing the Colts anywhere is a challenge, and I'm hoping that the Jaguars will not only compete, but win. We seem to have a good formula for winning, what with all this "ball control" that we are doing. Personally, I just hope that we stop the opposing team from sprinting down the field on their first drive. The last three games have begun with the opposing offenses getting into the red zone within seconds of getting the ball. We struggled last week with Schaub last game, too. I'm hoping that we ramp it up again for the Colts, because everyone keeps talking about a great defense that I have yet to see. The Jaguar defense is opportunistic at times, but it isn't really all that great. I know that I'm a fan of this defense (I got a Mike Peterson jersey, beau,) but on my blog, I shall spit what I see. We usually do a good job against the run, but the Titan game has continued to fuel my skepticism regarding our defense. To me, the offense has played better than the defense this year. The offense has had long sustained drives that allow our defenders to stay fresh while also putting pressure on the other offense to execute. The Jaguar offense has yet to have a bad game. They didn't score enough against the Titans, but that's only because the defense couldn't lay off of #10 until it was too late. It hacked me off to no end to see Peterson taking himself out of running plays that went through the middle because he was spying Vince Young. That's right. I said it. HACKED OFF!!! Anyway, thank God I write slow, because it's 7:30 pm now, so I can go take a shower, get something to eat, and watch football! In the immortal words uttered by the Viking on the Snickers commercial, "FEAST!!!" Enjoy the game, and be nice if we happen to get blasted.
Thanks for reading,
Jaguars Fan for(of5)LIFE
