       Sitting at 6-2 in the Big 10 (Oct. 22) is pretty respectable, especially when you consider the remianing schedule, Purdue has a good chance to be playing in a new years day bowl game (capitol 1 bowl?) looking at the schedule we have next week vs Northwestern which SHOULD be a win. The Penn St. game will definately be a tough one, but if Painter shows up like he did in the Iowa game it could be very winnable, one thing that worries me about this game though is that we have to go to Happy Valley which is a tough place to win. The Indiana game is another SHOULD win game but this is a greatly improved Hoosier team, who is very capable of an upset especially at home. Michigan State has sucessfully continued thier trend of being a great first half of the season team, then collapsing (ie Notre Dame game last year) so I see this game as a probable Purdue win. As Bowl Selections are coming out I see Purdue at 10-2? or 9-3? (pending on the PSU game) and possibly #3 in the conference which would put us in a very favorable position having then only losses to probably #1 OSU and an incredibly underated Mich. team in the big house. Which all of a sudden doesnt look so bad to the bowl selection comitee.

yep unfortunately you were right, but i guess anyone can play spoiler if you give them 21 points off turnovers. the big 10 just didnt look too good today.
