The finish of today's Edmonton Indy car race was a disgrace. Once again Brian Barnhardt has proven that he belongs in NASCAR where he would be free to influence the end of races with bogus penalties that would create an artificially close race for the championship. Why not just create a "race for the trophy"?

For those who din't see the race, here's what happened. Helio Castroneves had just taken the lead from his teammate Will Power, then there was a caution. On the restart, Castroneves turned wide with Power next to him, unable to pass, Power lost second to Scott Dixon. At this point race control (Barnhardt) gave Castroneves a drive-thru penalty. Mind you, there were only two laps left in the race. This was outrageous. And, once again, may I remind you, Castroneves & Power are Penske teammates while Dixon drives for Chip Ganassi, who had won the Neck race in Indy earlier in the day.

But somehow, it was OK for Paul Tracy to cause an accident between two other drivers earlier in the race. Maybe because he's a canadian, & they would like him in the series? This makes Indy Car look as legit as the WWE.

Helio was soooooo mad after the race.....never seen him like that......and I don't blame him.
I saw the replays and still don't see what he did wrong....and obviously neither did Helio.

Where in the world have you seen, in decades, NASCAR change the result of a race? and as far as penalties, those assessed in recent years have been meaningless.

Your NASCAR comparison holds no water, other than yes, IndyCar is about as legit as wrasslin'
