In response to:
Henne, Hart questionable vs. Minn.
Michigan quarterback Chad Henne and tailback Mike Hart could both sit out when the Wolverines host Minnesota this week. The senior players are listed as day-to-day. Hart, who is nursing an ankle sprain, didn't even dress for U-M's 27-17 victory at Illinois on Saturday night. Henne went to the locker room twice with an apparent shoulder injury and missed four drives. Coach Lloyd Carr said he wouldn't know Henne's playing status until the end of the week. Carr said Hart should be feeling better this week, but didn't want to speculate if he would return for the Minnesota game.

Let's look at it this way: After missing last week's game Hart doesn't have a realistic shot at the Heisman. I don't want to jinx it, but this may be closest thing Michigan has to a bye week this season. I know he'll want to play. I think at most, Lloyd should let him start and then take him out after a comfortable lead is established. As for Henne, I don't think it really matters. He may as well sit. Ryan Mallett can do just as good of a job. The more time he gets the less stupid mistakes he makes, unlike Henne who keeps on making the same mistakes. Is it unreasonable to expect him to at least work on his footwork? The fact that he isn't sacked 10 times a game is a huge tribute to the offensive line. At least "Big Tex" tries to run and scramble when need be. He even has a rushing TD this season. As unconservative as Lloyd Carr allowed the team to be, especially on offense, this week I think he'll stick to his conservative roots; Henne won't play and Hart will be a game-time decision. The only way Hart plays a whole game is if he's in perfect health. Don't expect 30 carries and 150 yards this week. Look for Carr to rest these guys as much as possible before next month's grueling schedule. Using his trademark roundhouse kick, Chuck Norris once made a fieldgoal in RJ Stadium in Tampa Bay from the 50 yard line of Qualcomm stadium in San Diego.

Sit him. It wont make a difference, they beat Illinois without him. Minnesota has about 1/100th of illinois's defense.

Illinois beat themselves, don't let anyone act like Michigan won. If Illinois wouldn't have given two 3rd down conversions to Michigan on penalties on that critical 4th qtr drive, there would be another loss on the Weasels schedule.

You're right see-dub. Over 100 yds in penalties and that dropped punt killed them. They lost the game, Michigan didn't win it.
