Week 9 ACC Predictions

Wow.  Another .500 week for me.  Florida State let a mediocre Miami team grab a last minute win in Tallahassee, NC State garnered win #2 on the season by beating ECU, and Maryland lost at the wire to Virginia, propelling the Cavs to a 7 & 1 record on the year and to #18 in the BCS polls.

My record on the year is 43 of 64, or 67%.

Boston College @ Virginia Tech = BC.  I'm going out on a limb on this one for a couple of reasons.  Boston College's toughest road win this season has been against Georgia Tech...and though Georgia Tech isn't a juggernaut (5-3), they do have  the #9 ranked defense in the country. Though the Hokies have shown improvement since their loss to LSU, they still can't get it together on offense (113th in NCAA).  With Matt Ryans arm and VT's struggles to score, the Eagles should be 8-0 after Thursday night.

North Carolina @ Wake Forest = Wake Forest

Clemson @ Maryland = Clemson.  After last week's 70-14 shredding of Central Michigan, if the Tigers can keep the momemtum up, they should come away with a close win.

Virginia @ NC State = Virginia.  I'm done doubting the Cavaliers.  Sure they only won by one point in each of the last 2 games, but they still have a 7-1 record and the 22nd ranked defense in the nation.

Duke @ FSU = FSU.  I've been burnt 3 times by the Noles this year, but against Duke (ranked 99th in Defense and 112th in offense in the NCAA), my spidey sense won't lead me wrong this week.

As soon as you get done doubting the Yahoos, they lay an egg against NC State. I can't say I didn't enjoy that a little bit, especially after the last week's comments :)

Good call on BC though - you went against the grain and beat a lot of other folks going for VT. Otherwise not a bad week, 4-1.
