This weekend we got to see the G.O.A.T. inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Yes, for you non-niner fans, that would be Jerry Rice, greatest of all time. Unless of course you are a fool (or east coast tool) like Peter King. Don Hutson? Yeah, maybe he changed the position, but he played against lesser players. Not one d-back from his era is in the hall. At least 3 from Jerry's era are, & Deion will probably go in, making 4. Note how many NFL records Jerry owns. All the offensive records. That's ridiculous!
As Jerry said, he wasn't the fastest, but no one ever caught him on the way to the end zone. He was the hardest worker, even saying during his speech that he was unable to enjoy playing because he was working so hard to be the best. He played longer than he should have, but that's because he wanted to. And he thought he could still do it.
Unlike today's players who are all about the green. How many teams has T.O. been on? Randy Moss, who played great for the Vikings & Patriots, but couldn't be bothered when he was in Oakland? Yeah, the team sucked, but you're getting paid, make an effort. Maybe they would have won more games if you cared.
Now players move around, hold out, do as little as possible, & make sure they are seen. Silly end zone celebrations (dances, fake cell phone calls, etc.), childish stuff really. Chad Johnson changes his name to Ochocinco (BTW-Chad that's Spanish for eight five, NOT 85) Jerry did none of that. He did his job. He's in the hall. I doubt T.O. or his new teammate will. Moss will, but he's no Flash 80.
Also note that Jerry mentions his teammates & propped his owner Eddie D for the hall. I'm not sure that will happen because of his issues that caused him to lose the team.

CLASS ACT! Completely out-classes a lot of the WRs in the business today----on AND off the field.
